Youth Nationals '09

VHTC welcomes you to our jungle!  We had a blast this year with the Youth Nationals “jungle” theme!  VHTC won FIRST place in the stall decorating contest!

The golf cart Parade of Regions was one of the highlights of the show.  VHTC constructed the Region 12 golf cart into an elephant!  A BIG thanks to Vicki's architect brother, David!!  We would also like to thank Joel Kiesner, whose paintbrush brought our elephant to life!

All the Youths from Region 12 got into the spirit with safari hats and binoculars!

2008 Youth Nationals

They started with 35.  At the end of the week, the final two riders to leave the arena were VHTC riders, Anna Raybourn, Champion, and Jordan Hodge, Reserve Champion!  It was a fitting final to a great week!

Riding Mary's Gift, they have been undefeated and Unanimous Champions all year!  At the 2008 Youth Nationals, Anna won both the UPHA 14-17 and Half Arabian Saddle Seat Equitation 14-17 riding Mary's Gift.  Anna was also Reserve National Champion in the Purebred Show Hack 14-17 riding Mr. G's Ringmaster.  Congratulations on your accomplishments and good luck as you start your college career!

Congratulations to Jordan Hodge on her amazing final year as a youth competitor.  Jordan won 5 Reserve National Championships and 1 Top Ten.  One of her Reserves was in the Purebred Saddle Seat Equitation 14-17 riding CL Summer Heat and the other was in the Half Arabian Saddle Seat Equitation 14-17 riding Cops N Robbers.  Congratulations Jordan on your exciting final year at Youth Nationals and good luck at the University of Georgia!

Anna Raybourn made a clean sweep of NSH finals with her mare, Marys Gift. Anna was unanimous National Champion in the 14-17 Saddle Seat Equitation Class, the UPHA Championship, the Saddle Seat Grand Championship, and also won the Medal Class with her horse “Pete”.
